 Slat Back Chair
The slat back chair is the best known item of furniture made and sold by the Shakers. Many types and sizes were produced, but they all possessed the same virtues of superb craftsmanship as well being very comfortable. The chairs shown, together with one of my Trestle Tables, are made of American Maple with Cream Shaker Tape for the seats. Other tape colours are available.

 Enfield Meeting House Bench
The Shakers always used light,
portable benches in their Meeting
Rooms. This design, said to have
originated at the Enfield community
about 1840 still remains contemporary
and comfortable.
